Friday Fashion: Geek Edition

I am a geek to the core. My Dad read me Douglas Adams, Issac Asimov and C.S. Lewis when I was a wee babe. I did my science fair project in elementary school on the parts of a computer. I wrote my senior research paper on allegory and religion in The Lord of the Rings. My son quotes Star Wars like it's going out of style - and I of course had him watch the originals first. Hubby and I watched an episode of Star Trek: The Next Generation late last night and talked about how we remembered watching those episodes when they were new. I in particular remember flying around the house during the theme song pretending I was a space ship. Wait, no one else did that? *sigh* Anyway, in honor of geeks everywhere, today is the Geek Edition of Friday Fashion! All items in this post are from ThinkGeek.

First, a plethora of tees to suit all kinds of geeks - the Star Trek Geek, the Dr. Who Geek, the Star Wars Geek and the Gaming Geek:

Are you the proud parent of a new little geek? Show them off in this adorable Newbie onesie or perhaps a Geek-in-Training tee:

Next up, a Dark Side apron for your Geeky Star Wars Chef. Darth Vader helmet optional.

And lastly, some shirts specifically for the ladies - Geek Lover, Binary Mom and the Geek Momma-to-Be:

Oh, I like these! I never used to be a geek but then I married one! He's a massive Trekkie and even managed to get me into them. He also succeeded in dragging me to the cinema to watch Star Wars and I have to admit it really pulled me in. Not something I usually admit but I see I'm in good company!

  2. Yep, you're definitely in good {geeky} company here! :)

  3. Love them..I am a geek too..even named my daughter after a Star Trek character!

  4. Hey, there's nothing wrong with that! I very seriously considered naming my daughter Kara after Kara "Starbuck" Thrace from the new Battlestar Galactica. :)

Thanks for leaving a comment! I really appreciate them. If you've left a question, I'll get back to you as soon as I can! Note: Don't be a jerk. I reserve the right to delete hateful, inappropriate, or otherwise not nice comments.
