I'm Shay. I'm twenty four years old.

We live in the cornfields of rural Indiana. I'm a stay at home momma to my two beautiful kiddos, Ezekiel and Elisha.

Zeke is my rambunctious four year old. He's VERY talkative (although shy when first meeting people) and always ready to go somewhere. He comes up with the craziest things sometimes and I think it's possible he'll have a future in the entertainment industry - comedy, music, something like that! His current obsessions are pirates, Spiderman and Star Wars. He loves reading, building with blocks and riding his bike.
Ellie is my one year old baby girl. She's a sweetie but she's also pretty darn sassy and stubborn. She loves her brother and they get along really well. She's very sensitive and takes awhile to warm up to people. She eats anything and everything but is still super tiny. She loves anything girly, Tinkerbell and playing with her brothers' cars.
I also have a nine year old step-daughter who is a great big sister. She's very creative - she loves scrapbooking, music and sewing. She's an excellent student. Her current obsessions are the Jonas Brothers, High School Musical and Hannah Montana.
As for extended family, we have a lot of them. My husband and I are both only children but we have a lot of cousins, aunts and uncles. We both have parents and grandparents that are active in our kid's lives. We're very blessed to have a good family. We plan to have a big family ourselves - we figure since we were both only kids, that means we need to have a lot! ;) I don't always do mainstream things, parenting-wise. I'm a fan of breastfeeding (although I currently do not do it), co-sleeping and babywearing. I'm an advocate of natural childbirth, homebirth, midwives and doulas. I'm homeschooling our kids and plan to be a stay at home momma for forever! :)
Writing is a huge passion of mine - you can read more about it on my Writing page. I'm a proud nerd and love sci-fi and fantasy stuff. I love reading and watching my favorite TV shows - Battlestar Galactica, The Office, Big Love and Mad Men. I like creative things - scrapbooking and graphic design, in particular. I also enjoy playing the piano. Politically, I'm a Conservative Republican. I'm also a proud Christian, although I have my day-to-day struggles just like anyone else. I try to keep an open mind about most things and will discuss pretty much anything with anyone as long as it's actually discussing, not arguing. In my blog, I write about a little bit of everything.
I use to blog over on Wordpress at Auguries of Innocence, which is still available if you'd like to see any of my previous work. I decided to move here for a variety of reasons, one being the name change. At AOI people were mistakenly coming to the blog because of the poem with the same name and it just made it terribly confusing. I also wanted to have a blog name that was more...well, me. I consulted with the hubby and we thought Wonderfully Chaotic describes us pretty well. :)

So there you have it! That's pretty much all there is to me. My life is Wonderfully Chaotic and I wouldn't trade it for anything else in the world.
