As a momma of many, I am pretty much constantly busy. At night the house is quiet but our days are full of school work, chores, practices, appointments, and field trips. In addition to my three older kiddos, I currently have three kiddos under three, one of whom I am currently breastfeeding. When I turned 30 earlier this year, I realized I needed to really commit to being healthier and making sure that I take care of myself. That can be hard for moms to do because our children are so much of a priority that we often put ourselves on the back burner - myself included! So when I find things to make taking care of myself easier, I embrace them wholeheartedly. Premama is one of those things!

Since I am a breastfeeding mama, I went to Meijer and chose a box of Premama Lactation. It's a berry-flavored drink mix that is formulated with Fenugreek, Fennel Seed and Blessed Thistle to help support healthy milk production. It also includes Folic Acid, Vitamin D3, Calcium and other essential nutrients good for me and baby Betsy.

The drink mix itself can be added into water (and tastes pleasantly fruity!) or mixed into any cold drink but my personal favorite is mixing it into a "Super Berry" smoothie! It's really easy to whip up in the morning when I first get up and it's great to know I'm getting my vitamins in AND helping my milk production while drinking my breakfast before running out the door or starting our school work.

SuperBerry Breastfeeding Smoothie

- 3/4 cup your favorite kind of milk
- 1/2 cup fresh or frozen red raspberries
- 1/2 cup fresh or frozen blueberries
- 1/2 cup fresh or frozen strawberries
- 1/4 cup quick oats
- 1 packet Premama Lactation

Toss all ingredients into your blender and mix until smooth - enjoy!
